Who should take: Adult leaders for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and Venturers. Scouts 12 years of age and older, who have earned their First Class, are welcome to attend with a parent or leader. |

Course Description: This course is designed to Scouting leaders at all levels, the knowledge and skills that will aid them in the planning and execution of fun, safe and rewarding outings. It covers the basic information for all types of outings from a trip to the local park or zoo for Cub Scouts to one-week or longer wilderness outings for older Scouts. Subjects include trip planning, food planning and preparation, health and safety, conservation, map and compass, equipment, dealing with overheating and excessive chilling, High Adventure Team (HAT) Awards and much more.
